In this 2025 edition of Iberia en Familia (Family Days)—a highly anticipated event for Iberia’s team and their families—Glam Cam once again had the honor of participating.
Our standout attraction was the Track 360°, a 4-meter diameter slow-motion photobooth capable of creating spectacular effects with groups of up to 20 people. The event, held at Iberia’s La Muñoza facilities in Madrid, brought together Iberia staff—from pilots and cabin crew to hangar and office teams—alongside their families.
During two full days, guests enjoyed live music, guided tours inside the aircraft (where pilots and crew showed their loved ones their workspace), food trucks, children’s workshops, corporate talks, contests, and many more activities. One of the most memorable moments was the 360° video, shot with a Boeing as a backdrop, courtesy of Glam Cam.
The event recorded outstanding participation: over 7,000 people (employees and their families) attended at La Muñoza, turning this celebration into a true gathering point that unites corporate culture, family emotion, and Iberia’s values of inclusion.
Iberia worked closely with Envera, its social outreach partner, to integrate accessibility and inclusion into the program. Activities included a solidarity craft market (handicrafts made by people with disabilities) and a live radio booth managed by residents and students from Envera. This partnership underscores that, beyond fun and entertainment, the event seeks to deepen community ties and social responsibility.
Track 360° by Glam Cam: An Immersive, Fun Experience
Glam Cam’s Track 360° system captures motion in slow motion from all angles. A group of up to 20 people stand in the center of a 4-meter circle, while a camera traverses the perimeter, recording from various angles.
The video is then processed with effects (slow motion, smooth transitions, rotation, creative cuts), resulting in a spectacular final product.
At Family Days, our 360° booth was placed in front of a stationary Boeing, creating stunning visual effects that incorporated the airplane’s silhouette as a heroic backdrop. Attendees saw the camera spin around them as they jumped, posed, or improvised choreographies—and the resulting video was delivered digitally so they could share it on social media or keep it as a lasting memory. The queues to use the Track 360° were constant, with children, teenagers, couples and whole families eager to join.
What Is Iberia and Why This Event Is So Special
Iberia is Spain’s flagship airline, with a century-long story, a modern network of national and international routes, and a vital role in connecting Spain to Latin America, Europe, and the world. As a large-scale enterprise, its internal structure spans pilots, cabin crew, mechanics, ground staff, operations, and administrative offices.
The Iberia en Familia / Family Days event is an internal tradition that allows employees and their families to come together, discover the airline’s inner workings, and celebrate as one. A highlight is the open-door day at La Muñoza, where hangars and operational areas are opened up for tours, along with leisure zones, music, and children’s workshops. In the 2023 edition, for example, Iberia invited employees and their families to explore the company’s core operational heart. External partners like CAE offered informational booths to explain pilot and crew training, and there were simulator flight raffles and solidarity initiatives (e.g., proceeds donated to the Aladina Foundation).
So, Iberia en Familia is not just an internal party—it’s a unique opportunity for employees to show their passion to their loved ones, for families to see firsthand behind the scenes of aviation, and for shared experiences and bonds to form through unforgettable moments.
Bettina Kadner
One of the standout moments of Family Days was a heartfelt tribute to Bettina Kadner, the first female pilot of a passenger aircraft in Spain. From this past Sunday, one of Iberia’s aircraft will bear her name in recognition of her legacy.
Born in 1941 in Madrid, Bettina Kadner became a pioneer in a male-dominated field, launching her aviation career in the 1960s and facing numerous challenges and prejudices. Her passion and determination opened doors for future generations of female pilots, leaving an indelible mark in Spanish aviation history.
This recognition at Family Days celebrates her courage, her journey, and the inspiration she continues to represent.
